Headwaters Groundwater Conservation District, Upper Guadalupe River Authority and Public Works City of Kerrville joined with local businesses to sponsor a contest promoting water conservation in residential Kerr County, Texas properties.


     Headwaters Groundwater Conservation District (HGCD) - 830.896.4110

The Headwaters Groundwater Conservation District mission is to develop, promote, and implement water conservation, augmentation, and management strategies to protect the water resources of the District as a sustainable resource for the benefit of its citizens, economy, and environment.

     Upper Guadalupe River Authority (UGRA) - 830.896.5445

The mission of the Upper Guadalupe River Authority is to conserve and reclaim surface water through the preservation and distribution of the water resources for future growth in order to maintain and enhance the quality of life for all Kerr County citizens.

     Public Works, City of Kerrville (HGCD) - 830.792.8325

Public Works for the City of Kerrville, Texas has responsibilities for streets, solid waste and utilities for residential and commerical properties.

The Texas AgriLife Extension Service was instrumental in helping establish the concept and the implementation of the Water Saver Landscape Contest.
